Natasha she/her

Student Intern

I am an intern currently completing my graduate degree in social work at Portland State University. I have previously interned at Clackamas Community College’s Counseling department and have worked extensively in mental health crisis work and suicide prevention programs for the most vulnerable, marginalized and houseless populations in Seattle, WA. I am a fierce advocate for de-stigmatizing mental health, harm reduction and combating systemic oppression through facilitating communities of radical care.

I believe that engaging in therapy is a courageous step towards the healing process. It is often difficult and uncomfortable sharing your deepest vulnerabilities with a stranger. I aim to create a safe, brave space where you feel valued, heard, and seen in ways that truly recognizes and honors those tender, and complex parts of you. I welcome a collaborative process and exchange where each person I work with feels empowered to direct our time and process together. As each person is unique,I embrace a holistic approach which acknowledges the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit that enriches our process together. I like to use a blend of psychoeducation, mindfulness, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and CBT and DBT. These are all tools tailored towards you, enhancing your own personal growth and embodying your own personal power. The healing process is messy and challenging but with compassion and support, it can be the best gift you can give yourself.
